Privacy Policy

EthOS ("we", "our", or "us") is an AI-powered video creation platform. This Privacy Policy covers both the EthOS product application and this marketing site (including its free demo generator), and explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using EthOS you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
If you sign up with an email and password, we store your email address and a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google OAuth. We store this in our database to identify your account.
Content You Create
We store the channels, topics, scripts, scene descriptions, visual prompts, and character configurations you create inside the platform. This content is tied to your account and used solely to generate and deliver your videos.
Generated Media
AI-generated images, voiceovers, and composed video files are uploaded to Cloudflare R2 object storage and linked to your account. They remain available until you delete them or close your account.
Connected Platform Tokens
When you connect YouTube or Instagram, we receive OAuth access tokens from those platforms. Tokens are encrypted at rest before being stored in our database and are used only to publish content on your behalf when you explicitly trigger an upload.
Billing and Plan Information
We store your current plan, credit balance, and credit usage history. We do not store payment card details ourselves; if you upgrade to a paid plan, card details are handled directly by our payment processor at checkout, not by us.
In-App Notifications
We generate and store in-app notifications about the status of your videos (for example, when generation completes or fails). These are only visible inside the product and are not sent to a phone number, messaging app, or push endpoint.
Demo Generator Input (Marketing Site)
If you use the free demo on this site, we send the topic text you enter, along with a Cloudflare Turnstile verification token, to a dedicated demo service to generate a sample video. This flow does not require an account and is not linked to your identity beyond what's needed to serve the result and prevent abuse (see Section 3).
Usage and Technical Data
We log API requests, error traces, and job telemetry for debugging and reliability purposes, using Sentry for error monitoring. These logs may include information that identifies you (such as your account email) when it's relevant to diagnosing an error. Logs are retained for up to 30 days and are not sold or shared with third parties for advertising.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Authenticate you and maintain your session.
- Generate AI scripts, images, voiceovers, and final videos on your behalf.
- Upload approved videos to YouTube or Instagram when you request it.
- Run the free demo generator for anonymous site visitors, including verifying you're not a bot and applying rate limits.
- Send you transactional emails (e.g. account or job notifications) and show in-app status updates about your content.
- Track your credit balance and plan so we can meter usage and, if you upgrade, take you to checkout.
- Diagnose errors and improve platform reliability.
- Enforce our terms of service and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your personal data, use it to train AI models, or share it with third parties for advertising purposes.
3. Third-Party Services
EthOS uses the following third-party services to operate. Each has its own privacy policy governing data they process:

Data sent to these services is limited to what is necessary to perform each function.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account data and content for as long as your account is active. Generated media files are retained in Cloudflare R2 until you delete them or close your account. Server logs are automatically purged after 30 days. Demo generator videos created by anonymous site visitors are stored temporarily and automatically deleted on a rolling basis. When you delete a video, the associated files are removed from storage promptly.
5. Data Security
Platform tokens (YouTube, Instagram) are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM before being stored. Passwords are stored using a salted one-way hash, never in plain text. All data in transit is encrypted with TLS. Access to the database is restricted to authenticated application services. We do not store your Google, YouTube, or Instagram passwords — only OAuth tokens granted by those platforms.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — request that inaccurate data be corrected.
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Portability — request your content in a machine-readable format.
- Revoke integrations — disconnect YouTube or Instagram at any time from the Integrations page; this revokes our ability to publish on your behalf.

7. Cookies and Local Storage
We use cookies and browser local storage for authentication session management (Supabase session tokens), your theme preference (light/dark mode), and, on this marketing site, the Cloudflare Turnstile challenge used to protect the free demo generator from bots. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
8. Children's Privacy
EthOS is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notification or email. Continued use of EthOS after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
