Content Guidelines

Effective date: June 26, 2026

These guidelines apply to all AI-generated visuals produced through EthOS. They exist to keep content brand-safe, platform-compliant, and free of harm — and every image generation request is checked against them automatically.

No Nudity or Sexual Content

All generated images must be free of nudity, partial nudity used in a sexual context, or any sexually suggestive content. This includes implied nudity, underwear presented in a sexualised way, and explicit or suggestive poses.

Allowed

  • Athletic wear or swimwear in a sports or travel context
  • Medical diagrams with clinical intent
  • Classical art references (described, not generated)

Prohibited

  • Exposed genitalia or breasts
  • Sexualised poses or camera angles
  • Lingerie presented in a sexual context

No Inappropriate Depictions of Minors

Images must never depict minors (anyone under 18) in violent, sexual, frightening, or otherwise harmful situations. Characters that appear child-like must be shown in age-appropriate, safe contexts only.

Allowed

  • Animated children playing in a park
  • Classroom or family scenes

Prohibited

  • Children in violent or dangerous scenarios
  • Any sexualised representation of a minor
  • Horror imagery targeting children

No Graphic Violence or Gore

Content must not include graphic depictions of injury, dismemberment, torture, blood, or death. Stylised action sequences are permitted, but realistic gore or gratuitous violence is not.

Allowed

  • Stylised cartoon fight scenes without visible injury
  • Action heroes in dramatic poses
  • Historical battle scenes at a distance

Prohibited

  • Visible wounds, blood pools, or dismemberment
  • Torture scenes
  • Realistic depictions of death or suffering

No Hate Speech or Discriminatory Imagery

Images must not promote, glorify, or demean any person or group based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, nationality, or any other protected characteristic. This includes symbols historically associated with hate groups.

Allowed

  • Culturally celebratory imagery
  • Diverse representation across characters

Prohibited

  • Nazi, KKK, or other hate-group symbols
  • Caricatures that demean racial or ethnic groups
  • Content designed to intimidate or harass a group

No Harmful Use of Real People

AI-generated images must not put real, identifiable people in false, defamatory, or harmful situations. Content that impersonates a real person to mislead viewers is prohibited. Public figures may be referenced in clearly satirical or educational contexts only.

Allowed

  • Text overlay on a generic crowd scene
  • Clearly labelled satire or parody

Prohibited

  • Deepfake-style realistic images of real individuals
  • Placing a real person in a violent or sexual scene
  • Impersonating a public figure to spread misinformation

No Self-Harm or Suicide Glorification

Content must not depict, instruct, encourage, or glorify self-harm, suicide, eating disorders, or other self-destructive behaviours. Awareness content must follow safe-messaging guidelines and must not include graphic imagery.

Allowed

  • Mental health awareness with positive framing
  • Support hotline callouts

Prohibited

  • Depictions of self-harm in progress
  • Glorification or romanticisation of suicide
  • Content that presents self-destructive behaviour as aspirational

No Glorification of Illegal Activities

Images must not promote, celebrate, or provide visual instructions for illegal activities including drug manufacturing, weapon building, human trafficking, or theft. Contextual depiction (e.g. news or documentary style) requires clearly non-glorifying framing.

Allowed

  • Documentary-style imagery with neutral context
  • Law enforcement themes from a protective perspective

Prohibited

  • Step-by-step drug production scenes
  • Imagery glorifying gang violence or criminal lifestyle
  • Visual instructions for making weapons

No Threatening Depiction of Weapons

Firearms, knives, and other weapons may only appear in clearly recreational, historical, or cinematic contexts. Images must not show weapons aimed at people, in threatening poses, or in a way that promotes violence.

Allowed

  • Historical soldier in period battle scene
  • Hunting rifle in a wildlife documentary setting
  • Action movie poster style with weapons at rest

Prohibited

  • Gun pointed directly at a person
  • Promotional imagery encouraging armed violence
  • Weapons combined with threatening text overlays

No Reproduction of Protected Intellectual Property

Do not generate images that directly replicate trademarked logos, copyrighted characters (e.g. specific Disney, Marvel, or Nintendo characters), or other protected IP in a way that could constitute infringement. Original characters and clearly inspired-by styles are permitted.

Allowed

  • Original animated characters in a Pixar-inspired art style
  • Generic superhero imagery without specific IP traits

Prohibited

  • Mickey Mouse, Spider-Man, or Pikachu reproduced faithfully
  • Exact brand logos integrated into scenes
  • Book covers or album art copied verbatim

Brand-Safe & Platform-Appropriate

All visuals must meet the content policies of the platforms EthOS publishes to (YouTube, Instagram). Content must be suitable for a general audience unless the channel is explicitly age-gated. Avoid shock value, jump-scare setups, and deliberately disturbing imagery.

Allowed

  • Educational, entertainment, and lifestyle content for all ages
  • Mild tension in a thriller context without graphic resolution

Prohibited

  • Deliberately disturbing or nightmare-inducing imagery
  • Content that would be demonetised on YouTube
  • Shock thumbnails designed purely to bait clicks through fear

Enforcement

EthOS applies these guidelines automatically to every image generation request, and reserves the right to reject or modify prompts that violate them. Repeated violations may result in account suspension. Questions about a specific case? Reach us at dhananjaykaushik96@gmail.com.

We may update these guidelines as platform policies and best practices evolve. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification.
